Many people have the doubt that does expired domains still work or not.

The answer is Yes. If the domain is of good quality, it will rank with some efforts.

Just go to Google India and search " PM Kisan Registration 2023 "

1st site is the official site

and the rest 9 sites are built on the expired domain

even if you go to 10-20 results on the second page mostly all is expired domain except 1-2 sites .

Most of these expired domains are government expired domain.

And how much they earning, traffic will tell you. Monthly 1 Million average traffic some have 25M

What do you mean by government expired domain? Can you explain.
Obviously you can't register .Gov and .edu domains.

These are domains belonging to Indian government institutions. When the institution fails to renew DNA in, it becomes available for purchase and these guys take the domain name and build site on it.

What are their tld's? .gov or anything else?

I have been searching these types of domain from many days

No not .gov or .com but .in
It's a long shot tho. You wanna steal traffic from .gov which will usually rank on top position and then monetize this kind of local traffic.

they still rank well, I tested a few months ago and the site homepage and blogs I uploaded had indexed the very next day.

These government expired domains are given very high authority from Google.

Okay. This is pretty crazy - and it's repeating!
.in.png

5 days: 0 --> 3.600.000+ Monthly Organic Traffic

The best proof for aged domains still works is they are costly to buy.

If it not works, obviously the market for aged domains will fall off.

It's not happened yet, hence proven.

See what happens is when a new scheme or department is created it has been a practice to register a .in or similar tld domain.
In most cases these websites run for few months or years and then they change the domain at some point in future.
So, this old domain becomes available and because it has been the official domain for some time it has acquired nice backlink profile.
I was lucky to grab 2 of these domains one is in the govt jobs (sarkari naukri) niche and the other one is related to a state development project.
It's actually the easiest way to rank in these niches, these domains also have a very good indexing rate.

Yes, that is good way to look at the real value of something.

Yes, they make decent money with ads an offers.
The job website has some permanent banner ads from coaching institutes and AdSense.
I also build email lists on the second website alongside AdSense.
Promoting amazon affiliate like books on the job website didn't work well though.

Really interesting case.

this is just crazy to me :D

had my eyes closed to this before, but should probably be on the lookout and do something like this myself!
The real huge money in ventures like this. Normal blogs are ok only for a stable income, they can never give huge income all of sudden.
