Promoting your Affiliate Program?

Hi,

I am growing and managing an Affiliate Program.

Here's what I've been doing so far.

Launched on CJ (Our competition is on CJ and we are leveraging this, since we have the best service)

Created an affiliate landing page with an overview of our business, affiliate terms and a link to sing up on CJ.

• Affiliate Forum Posts (Usually Paid Listings)
• Free Affiliate Directory Listings
• CJ Recruitment Tool
• Directly contacting webmasters that I believe would make good affiliates

Our in-house program was very active and a lot of affiliates are doing very well. On CJ since we launched about a week its been very quiet, only one affiliate is promoting us successfully out of about 150 (carefully approved affiliates).

Why are CJ Affiliates not promoting us, we have a good offer and good payout it makes no sense.

Where else can I promote the program to attract more Affiliate Marketers?

What else can I do to grow this program?

I'm not sure if you solved your issue already but I launched a product and got some affiliates under 2 days. What I did was contacting my competition or related blog niches so they promote my product. I got a few yes' already out of 40-50 mails sent.

Recruiting partners takes up to 80% of my time, i scout blogs, relevant sites, Youtube, journalists in my niche. Ive had very good success from this and will continue to manually reach out to relevant websites.

My issue is getting affiliate marketers to come on-board, create landing pages and drive traffic.

I was thinking about running an email promotion via affiliate marketing website like blackhatworld, but its really expensive, its going to be hard to justify a few grand on a cold email blast without prior tested successful attempts.
