Promoting Posts on Facebook

Hey guys,

I've been trying to sell a teeshirt. I've created a page with the niche the shirt is in, and made a post with the tee shirt. I then promoted it to a targeted audience.

So far the post has got 10 likes from the ad, 0 shares, 0 comments, 0 CLICKS.

If no one is clicking the link to buy the shirt, but people are liking the post, what do that mean? Does that mean my shirt looks like shit, I have the wrong audience.

Should I just make an ad and pay per click only and not interaction. Thanks.

You really do not have enough data to make a call yet... odds are though that they like the shirt as you are getting likes.

Make 50 posts (not all at once of course) and then you'll have some data that can help determine where you need to go.

I can't hope but feel like I do have enough data. If there's been 10 engagements which have all been likes and 0 clicks, what is going to make the next 10 engagements have clicks?

Can you elaborate on the point of making more posts? All of the engagements above are not organic... all paid.

It was hardly an hour, 13 likes now. I've reached 830 people, and have had 13 likes soooo, 1.3% rate...

Reach was 3000 a day for my $20 test budget

$.40 cents I'd say

Bro,set the budget at $5 per day and run the ads for atleast 2-3days.Lets update us the result after 2-3days.
Also,can you update the latest result.

Just because they are paid for through Facebook doesn't mean they are real. Look at the profiles of the people who like it and their other Facebook likes. Do they look legit? What does your ad look like? Is the copy encouraging people to buy?
 
They people that interacted most likely like your t-shirt, but enough to order it. Try sending them directly to the store and see what happens.
 
You have to keep testing different ads bro. Test different wording, send them straight to the store, etc. Make it as easy for them to give you money as possible. Make them want to give you money.

Are you laser targeting? If not, then you're not gonna have a good time.

For example if you're selling a shirt for like say Marines, don't target People who like Marines as it's just too broad. Try and find people who like "Proud former marine" "Marine for life" etc.

No, I havn't exactly. I've really been targeting people who "just like the marines" and fans of "marine" pages. I'll take a look and try going a little more in detail, I feel like facebook doesn't give me many options.

To everyone else, I had the ad paused over night. I will update in a little. I think I'm going to send them directly to the teespring page. And use a better picture then just the tee shirt on with a white backround, perhaps someone wearing it....
