I'm thinking about opening a website to promote local escorts to help them get more customers. I'll work on the SEO and get it rank on google.

I'll charge them $100 a month for to be feature on the website and I'll take new photographs of them every month if they desire. My game plan is to get 10 escorts so I can make $1000 per month to replace my part time job.

Anybody know what I should look out for or the risks involve with this business?

I was involved in a similar venture a while back and it didn't work out so well. Many other already well known and bigger sites out there that they advertise to. And their "colleague" told them about it so there is more trust with it.

Some of them were really receptive to the idea, but others weren't.

If you are going to follow through, be sure you can handle the site, SEO and calling/prospecting/selling. I was doing the selling but the quality in the SEO wasn't there so it was hard to sell. You are probably going to have to offer a free month too.

Good advice. I can handle the SEO.

I'm not with the calling, prospecting, or selling though.

I mean escort makes $200 an hour so $100 a month for advertisement and photography should be pocket change for them.

Hey I look up words that are banned from google and escort seems to be one of them. Is ranking an adult/escort site harder than a normal website since Google don't like them?

with CL banning the escorts section there is a market for this. I have had a few discussions at parties around this topic.

For reference perb dot ca is the go to place since CL went away

My apologies for necro-ing this thread but I'm a bit curious and concerned about the legality of this. I desire to sell offline seo to high class independent escorts but I'm not even sure if it's legal. Wouldn't it constitute 'promoting prostitution'? And won't the cops see me as a pimp?

The extent of my services is merely posting her ad on various escorting websites (yes it sounds like easy money for me but she has never heard of some of the sites I want to submit to).

It depends on the promoting prostitution laws of the area you live in, you should contact a local lawyer to see if its legal or not.

Normally an escort service would be legal as you will just be promoting the "Escort" part of the service any extras the girls provide are between them and the client.

You WOULD be in breach of the law if you promote any sexual service for payment.

I don't believe the law is your enemy in most US jurisdictions if you are ONLY promoting 'escort services'.

If you are hosting a platform like '$300.00 per hour for my 18 year old pink pillow of passion' then that crosses the line into 'prostitution' which differs from 'escorting'
which is legal in most places.

Not so sure it's as clear as that.

You can run your ad for "escort", but if a Vice Detective responds to your ad, meets the escort and she offers him a blow-job for $100.00, you stand a good chance of going to jail. I've paid attention to some of these services, Las Vegas in particular, and the whole staff has to be very disciplined in how they communicate every aspect of their business. In one sting, LVPD Vice had a fake "prospective employee" interview for a job while she was wired for video and sound and the sting came down on the woman that did the interview because she said something that implied a contradiction to what was explicitly stated.

A slight mistake at the wrong moment, and you are in big trouble.

I play with this idea too, mostly as a fantasy than as a serious business proposition because I used to live in an apartment next door to a bunch of strippers and let me tell you, if you ever want to have your entire life consumed by a shrieking and wailing maelstorm of of HIGH DRAMA and OUTRAGE, the HIGHS, the LOWS, the CRYING, FIGHTING, some drunk whore standing in the middle of the front yard in her bra and panties screaming at the top of her lungs "YOU JUST WANT TO FUCK ME IN THE ASS !! THAT'S ALL YOU EVER WANT !!! (neighbors lights coming on) YOU ONLY WANT TO FUCK ME IN THE AAAAAaaaaaAAAAASSSSSSS !!!!"

There's the fantasy of being in close proximity to a bunch of whores, women who have figured out that they can convert the stench of that hole between their legs into cash, and the reality of having your every waking moment completely dominated by this self-absorbed, retarded and money-grubbing whores.

There's a reason why pimps beat these bitches.

I was hoping I could avoid that since most local lawyers charge a few even for small advice.

I was in this niche for over 15yrs and came to similar conclusions as you. I will tell you that the main site which gets away with promoting this stuff (cityvibe) has a fancy office suite on Wilshire blvd in downtown LA. Their 'exec's' are all lawyers, and the surrounding offices in said building belong to attorneys.

So one could say they have the juice, similar to how vivid has the juice for n. hollywood city.

Since I have gotten out of that niche, I would have to speak it over with my wife before I would jump back in, as yes, the money would be incredible, and wordpress/categories has came along way in teh past 10yrs. Plus I could convince any renegade to sign up with us, since it would be better then giving their money to somebody else ;)

Search my username there is bound to be a few posts on this topic. There are many subniches in this niche too, strippers, etc..

It is not promoting if you do not operate the business. If you are just a directory then you are fine. Now if you are advertising her everywhere and booking her out to calls then yes, you are a pimp my friend. Lol! There are escorts that do not have sex though and they seem to make way more money. If you want to promote and open a legal service then this is the way to go. I mean like actual escorts that are just companions. :)

I will tell you that a lawyer can tell you the local laws and so can the local vice squad. You may even be able to check online on your county government site. Most cities and states require an agency to have a license and some require girls to too. The ladies are allowed to go on dates, strip at parties and even do one on one entertainment offering sessions like dancing, masterbation fantasies and so on but when it comes to touching genitalia, butt or nipples, that is illegal everywhere. As long as you yourself as service or advertiser are not promoting prostitution but companionship though, it should be fine. If they are posting that stuff on your site, then that is on them and not you usually but it does come down to local ordinances.
