Promoting Local Business!

Hello everyone, Its been awhile since I've been on here... forgot my old account information so have to start from scartch

well getting down to business, So I'm partnering with a Local small business. There in the pest control industry specializing in jobs like bed bug removal, mice, roaches and that good stuff... Now he is currently paying someone to promote for him online with a generic looking website, dabbling in some adwords and he pays per lead.

I was looking to try and take over this aspect of the business for him, now I'm currently just using local sites like Classifieds, facebook, CL, and all that good stuff. I was wondering what else you guys would recommend for promoting a business like this online and offline. He wants me to take all the leads and then pay me per sale and possibly doing some field work for him.

Why not branch this out to something like social media? That seems like the easiest route.

Also another thing you could do is create business cards and keep in contact with people in person and that way you can get contacts from them and from there it just grows and grows.

I would hit him for responsive web redesign for $7500

Then smash him with $1500 / month SEO

Then beast him with $400 / month ORM

Then I would blast him with 20% of his $1000 / month adwords at $200 / month

Then I would destroy him with $50 / month social upkeep

The google ads thing could work.

As you promoting local business you should build an integrated marketing strategy (online+offline). The best online tools are SMM and registration in different online catalogues and lists (like yellow pages). The best offline tool is print ads, so-called multistakeholder cooperation (like household chemicals shops, repair contractors, etc.), guerilla marketing (cheap and effective).

find some good keywords and start local SEO. Classifieds and local citations sites are good. If ranked on first page, leads will come. And also start yelping. That would be helpful to get more leads.
