Promoting Forex through AdWords

Hey guys,

I'm thinking about jumping in the Forex bandwagon and I need some advice from those who have experience promoting Forex sites, trading platforms etc. through AdWords PPC campaigns.

I'm looking at the $5-10k range per month at the moment as pure AdWords spending.

How much do you usually spend on such PPC campaigns?

Also, besides AdWords anyone have experience promoting Forex through Facebook Ads?

I know there is a big competition in Forex, so that's why I need some advice, if it's worth a try.

Firstly make sure you know about forex and PPC, do not throw all your money straight in and test as much as you can. I tend to make about 5 - 6 x my ppc budget. One bit of advice I will give you, is do not target new traders. I did this and lost a lot. New traders just tend to blow their money because they have no idea what they are doing, then they do not trade again. I have had a few new traders invest $10,000+ and I have barely made a dollar off them. Also promote a good broker, which sells. Also target countries with high income, I used to target Switzerland a lot, as their average wage is quite high.
 
i think G has pretty much banend anytoihn with forex in it..Very dangerous road. Forex was so "last year" (3-6 years ago)

You obviously do not know what you are talking about, or you must think we all live in America. I make very good money as a forex affiliate and I know people who do a couple of mill a year. It is not easy to promote forex, but definitely worth it if you know what you are doing.
 
i would say . test it first. spend a little. find some succewss and then scale it up.

If you do not know much about adwords, then i would say go for facebook, I do not really bother tracking most of my stuff, but when I have looked into it a few times, I average about 3 - 4+ times my investment through facebook. I think it is far easier to not loose money through facebook adds, than using adwords and the cost is a lot cheaper. The best thing to do is make a new facebook account and make it just forex related, by joining forex groups and adding forex people. This way all the adds that are shown to you will be forex related. Keep an eye on the ones which are always there and just copy them. If the adds are there for months on end they are obviously working for someone. Stick to targeting major cities where the money is and also target gamblers.

i notice alot of forex ads on fb these days , :)

try facebook , it ll run easily .

the thread is old but if you want to advertise your Forex business or Forex product I can recommend forexdirectory.jimdo.com. They have different websites in facebook (main website: facebook.com/forexdirectory1) and twitter (twitter.com/Forexdirectory1), too and there you will reach a big reading public.
 
Mickyfu, are you still doing forex on FB? I have been doing it for a while and also see 4-5x returns. Which markets are you running? Id like to discuss further, I think its possible to do interesting stuff with forex still.
 
I got around Forex compliance on GAW by:

1. Creating a legit virtual e-learning package (ebook + a few video tuts) that I gave away for free in exchange for an optin (DOI).
2. Market it on GAW.
3. Build a high quality DOI list
4. Push aggressive offers every 3-4 emails in (I like 1:3 ratio of great free content to an offer just to keep the list hot)

There are different ways to do this but that's what worked for me.

EDIT: You are going to have to build out a real site, though. With your avail budget, it doesn't sound like you will have a problem committing to that sorta production.

Promoting Forex through Fb ads is comparatively much easier than running an adwords ad for the same.
I have run quite a few aff campaigns for my clients and what i found was that the conversion rate for the adwords campaign was way high as compared to the FB campign.
CPA was also much lower in adwords.

i have done it 2 years back. but then the problem i faced was, too much CPC and no conversions.
I am gonna try Forex once again

Aswell as Adwords and Facebook check out bing. The traffic is about 90% less the traffic from adwords but in my experience covering many markets and niches the conversion rate is allot better, typically 12%-15% higher conversion rate.

This is great for niches with high CPC and low conversion rates.

Perhaps an interesting strategy would be to test your hypothesis' on Bing and then once you have traction and have nailed the strategy on that channel then move to the big boys on Adwords.
 
i want to try make PPC campaign for a new forex company do you think bing is better choice than google?
