Promoting aps

Hey guys,

I picked up an app cheap the other day, its brand new so only 24 active users. Anyone got any experience promoting apps?

I was trying to decide if it would be most cost-effective using a facebook ppc platform or buy some accounts with friends and promote through that.

Thoughts?

Without giving away my site, main monetisation comes from players earning virtual currency through incentivised CPA offers

Make a big group / page (or use the apps "fan page") promote it and direct traffic to the app.
