promoting adult websites?

Hi, I have 2 adult websites, 1 is a tube an the other a pinterest clone. I have had them for quiet a while and I used to get some good traffic but I kind of stopped promoting them and the traffic has died off to almost nothing. I was using tumblr and got a few thousands hit per day but every time I make a tumblr account now it gets banned before I even get to post anything.

Does anyone have an effective methods they use to promote adult? I have a few ideas but when I have tried them in the past I would spend heaps of time on it an not get many hits.

Reddit works still fine for adult site as well as Twitter

Are you using dynamic ip or dedicated ip.Same Computer.
Did you tried flushing your DNS and clearing cookies and before making a new account.

Tumblr, Twitter, Stumblupon they have good traffic

Well reddit doesn't forbid adult sites per se, but you need to know where to place it. Also ad tags in the headline because this way people could find your link with the search option.

Buy reddit ads. They're cheap (I think it's $5 per 1k impressions) and targetted

If you don't have time to promote the site you should get a plugin called nextscripts.
Once you install it, you should create an account for the following..
Facebook (SFW)
Twitter
Google + (SFW)
Pinterest (SFW)
Stumble Upon
Diigo
Blogger
Tumblr

As far as your site is concerned, there is a plugin called wp robot 3 and another called feedburner.
These plugins will automatically update your site with the rss feed of choice and you can schedule all post.

Configure the nextscripts to update the social media sites listed above.
Now, you don't have to worry about updating your site daily but I recommend you dedicate at least 10 hours a week to the auto blog to make sure your site is always is top shape.

If you make $1/k on tube traffic that's a lot, so it's all about getting trade partners, testing and getting more in than you give out. Using anything like a search engine, tumblr or reddit to feed a tube site is just throwing money away. A realistic goal would be to buy 100,000 hits for $100 or so and throttle it while you get your trade productivity up. Then you have a self sustaining site that will make it back over X amount of time with sponsors and selling the excess cheap to other people feeding theirs.

It's been years but http://www.chokertraffic.com/ used to do good for me. You'll never make the money back off that traffic in sales, but again, it's about building trades.
