Promoted Posts too Expensive?

I set up a promoted post ad on Facebook for my website. I targeted a certain group of people (a certain work profession) and I got 2 clicks in one day and ended up paying over $6 per click. This is way too expensive for me.

Is this normal?

Mate for 20$ daily budget you can get up to 300 clicks.It might costs so much, because you have targeted a certain group of people.

it depends on the audience you are targetting.. Try to target a broader audience!

My experience with fb ads, if I have the right niche with a good ad, I should be paying <30 cents/click

Obviously you need to tweak the ad. If you are targeting a certain group because they would obviously be interested in your ad, and you get that response it is either one of two things.
1. Your ad sucks
2. They really are not interested in what you are saying even though they are in that niche

it's too expensive, cost you too much

You could easily bring that down to $0.30 a click by using right images and targeting right interests. $a few cents a clicks is easy too if you target non-competitive niches.
