Project for an website

Hellow all !

I am planing to do an clone of imdb . The content will be 100% unique, I will get some data from imdb but I want the content to be original because this is good for seo and Google .
Ok not exactly a clone but 80% the same I think I will want to do.
I like this site you can filter in the website.
For example in an post about an film I can see tags with some Actors and when I click on them it goes to that actor and present's it wich is pretty nice.

So... The questions are :
It is a good ideea to do an clone to this website ?
Is this niche saturated ? (this niche is not the same as "watch online movies" wich is saturated).

If you guys have some tips please tell me I'll apreciate.

Yea that's true .
But I don't wanna beat imdb . I wanna get some decent traffic with this kind of website.
Then I think it will come some money from cpa or adsense...

Anyway wich CMS will be the best for this kind of site? I don't knwo if an wordpress theme can be so complex like the imdb template is...

You should think about custom CMS. Wordpress templates can be as much complex as You want but storing so huge amount of data (semantic data) with so many connection will be painfull if You decide to use wordpress.

Anyway if You decide to use wordpress You will gonna need custom plugin that will help You manage those data.

WoW, thats a mammoth task your taking on right there. I use Imdb quite a lot and to be honest once a user has found that i don't know why they would use anything else, everything you need is right there. However if you have the time and energy to do this then i'm sure it could be succesful even if like you say you don't want to compete with them directly.
