Hello Everyone, I have decided to test google ads and Shopify. I'm fairly new to eCommerce but is a passion I have and I believe is something doable.
My first target is $1K in profit a month. I will be updating my target with each goal completion.

Past Experience with eCommerce:

A few years ago I tried dropshipping using Facebook ads and also tried to do influencer promotion without results.

What I will be doing differently:

I will be targeting people who are already looking for my product using google ads. This means that the traffic will be warm and the conversion rate can be better than using Facebook ads. I'm investing must of my time atm creating a well-branded landing page and I will be doing a one product website.

I found a niche that has demand for this product, there are other drop shippers poping every once in a while but 80% of advertisers are 2 big stores that dominate the niche and I will have a better landing page + Different product than them.

I will be able to price around $64 and my profit margin will be around $32

I'm willing to give this a real try and will try to make this project work for me. I'm creating this thread to make myself accountable to you guys and maintain motivation because my wife doesn't care about these things, lol.

Current Status

Website design is done 85%

The next step is technical configuration of google shopping and ad creation.

Will keep you updated in every step of the way.

Product kw have high cpc though. Interested to see how this turns out. Good luck!

Hey, haven't been able to provide any update because for some strange reason I'm not able to post in my own thread.

I was able to post from my phone, lol. Let me provide you with the updates:

Update (Day 2)

I was able to complete the website, configured all the technical stuff. Created ad and google merchant account and started a brand awareness campaign.

Google merchant still hasn't activated my products so that I cant start creating shopping ads. Only got 4 impressions today, if I get little to no impressions tomorrow I will increase the bidding.

Update (Day 4)

Today Google merchant approved my products and I was able to create the google shopping ads, also created the Skags campaign, and added a negative keyword list to my campaign.
I'm already receiving some traffic from the brand campaign but will provide a concrete update in a few days when there's something significant to report.

Sales: $0
Ad spent: $3.86
Profit: $-3.86

Update (Day 6)

Almost one week in this journey between setting up the store and running ads. I'm happy to start getting some velocity in the ads but still no sales. I'm kind of lowkey panicking but I guess that's part of this business model.

If the numbers I have keep constant and I get a 3% conversion I will be able to make some money.

Fingers crossed.

are you running a dropship store via Google Shopping? I heard Google don't allow that.

Yes but I'm planning to get inventory sourced once the product is tested and profitability is archived.

My account was Suspended, I was told by someone that they don't allow that.

Dropshipping is not allowed by most of the payment processors , PayPal, Skrill etc. You have to play it smart to fly under the radar.
Good luck mate you seem very well organized all the best

@Siniestr0 I'd advise you start first with Search Campaigns before jumping right into Shopping Ads. Don't select Brand Awareness, just choose the manual CPC option and put in your desired value.
