Hello BHW fam,

Looking to up my game and learn new skills to become a growth marketer.

What list of base programming languages do you know that all growth marketers should have?

Also which one do you recommend starting to learn first?

What is a reasonable timeline/range to be able to learn/master a language?

The language doesn't really matter. I personally I use C# for most projects but have written plenty in python, you'll no doubt need to learn some form of JavaScript and front end frameworks. It really depends on what you want to do, whether you want to focus backend, frontend or both.

Think about what you want to achieve first, it's always easier to learn with a purpose. Programming/ software development is very broad and you probably feel a bit overwhelmed at first.

Once you have an idea in mind, do some research or post it here I am sure people will be guide you along the way

Though language does not matter but you may start with python. It is easier to understand, but again main things in programming are algorithm and logic not the language.

I think Javascript is the best and it will aid you in building beautiful websites. A growth marketer should definetely know how to build websites and web apps.
