Hi BHW members , may I know what is the first programming language you learnt and how does it helps you earn money?

I am trying a couple of money making methods such as sharing images and uploading files but I am getting a few cents per day only.

I would love to try earning with CPA and I cant seem to get approved and I dont feel like talking on the phone with some stranger who will be interrogating me :o

I have no money to make any investments or purchase tools and stuff so I am really desperate.

After trying everything , I realised I am just wasting my time everyday earning a few cents that may not even make it to the payout in a thousand years.:(

Thus, I have decided to continue earning money while trying to learn a programming language everyday.

So what programming language do you guys learn and what do you suggest I start learning that will be beneficial to me?

Thanks in advance!:)

First, I learned Actionscript 3.0 and it doesn't help me make money.

Edit: I mean that programming doesn't help me make money, I just hire out the programming as my time is more valuable than that. Don't worry, I make money. ;)

I would say Delphi, really powerful.
I do not recommend to learn .NET/C#, this language is too unstable.

You can build some mini-software, specialized for a specific task, and sell at low prices on websites like CodeCanyon (...).
For SEO purpose, learn how to use POST and GET functions, how to connect to proxies, how to manage text files, ...
No need to be a senior developer...

The development and sale softwares/scripts is the method that brought me the most money.
Stay motivated and you will certainly succeed.

Good luck !

Learn PHP, you won't regret it, there is a huge demand for PHP coders. Also you will be able to set up custom websites/scripts as recently it's all about websites and stuff.

If u reallly want To earn quickly learn ubot :D and .Net for bot creation

Learn Python, you will love it.
Why?
Because it is compact and it fits in your mind perfectly.
You will find yourself programming without thinking too much on the constructs to use, the libraries to download (the standard library is huge) or other tedious stuff..just go with your idea and model it.

I love Python, it's perfect for data crunching.. I have dozens of scripts to scrape from different web sources; after the download I reformat it in cvs files for example, ready to be loaded in my Python web sites.

Python, go for it :)

First programming language that i learnt was Basic ;-). But i was only 10 years old. No money earned :D.
Then i learned, Pascal, Delphi, C, C++. That did not make me money either.
Then i learned PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and i got a job. That made me some money :D.
Now i am trying to earn money by IM. Then i will quit my job :D.

My first was pascal)) did not help me to make money, i think best start is html then php

Delphi is the easiest and best IDE. With it I have made several bots and apps which help me earn a lot of $$$

First I learned Basic, but it didn't bring me money.
Then I learned LPC, it gave me satisfaction.
After that I learned C, still no money.
Then I went for C++ and win32 libraries, nada, not a cent.
Next was JavaScript - not a penny.
Then PHP - as poor as before.

After that my uncle died and bequeathed me $10M.

Conclusion... dont waste your time, go straight for PHP.

Thanks for your input guys !

I guess I will start learning PHP first but do I need to learn HTML first?

All other suggestions are welcomed! (Please provide the reasons too :) )

There's no need to learn HTML first. Basic knowledge is an advantage of course. I think it's easy enough to learn PHP and HTML at the same time. Don't forget to learn MySQL or other database.

I would listen to this guy, delphi has no dependencies.
You want to go for a low level language, avoid the high level language like .net shit.
Once you get the basics, concentrate on learning how to do POST and GET , after you learn those things, the other things is proxies and file handlers and you should be good to go.

I started with Blue Java (BlueJ) when i was 13. Then C-->C++--->C#. Ofcourse b=no money but immense knowledge. Then I started learning HTML/CSS/Javascript and made hundreds of dollars. So i suggest you should do the same.

it all depends on what you wanna do, do you wanna be a web programmer, make softwares?..

Learn Asp.net first
Asp.net programmers earn much and there is a huge demand for them, so you wouldn't regret. But for SEO there's no need to learn prgramming language- I know only basic htm and I earn with SEO - so decide waht you need fist)

  1. Pascal
  2. C
  3. C++
  4. FoxPro
  5. PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (by myself, became a freelancer)
  6. Java (learned by myself a lot more than I was taught in college. loved it!)
What you shuld learn depends a lot on what you want to do. For real programs/bots etc. learn a REAL language like Python. Something that has multi-threading and is a programming language that isn't built specifically for web apps. If you want to do websites/webapps, then PHP is a good choice mainly because cheapest hosting is for PHP. Other than that, I'd still go for Python.

Assembly language for Z80 processor. Doesn't help to make money but sharpens
you brain like no other shit out there.
