Hello,

I'm a programmer that is in need of some money, I am currently at University, I would class myself as a gifted programmer, and I am very good at writing specific programs in either Python (mainly) or Java. If you know of anywhere where i can use my skills to make me some money while I'm studying my degree at University, I would greatly appreciate it if you could send me a PM of where i can go to make specific softwares for people.

Have you tried freelancing sites? oDesk, for example, is a good choice for programmers.
 
I've tried them sort of websites they all seem to only want the cheapest labour with the best qualifications, which i don't have at the minute, Even though I probably know more than they in programming languages.
 
Still not found anything, Anybody else got any suggestions?
 
I suggest to do your own Project.

If you are a SEO than ask yourself, what kind of program you're missing and then write it.

The advantage of this way is, that you earn the whole money.

I'm not really a SEO, i don't really know anything about online marketing, i just know how to make programs etc.

If anybody wants to Jv with me as well, i'll be more than willing to listen to what you want doing, and will be happy to make the needed programs
 
Its better if you start SEO or any other internet marketing venture, then make softwares for automation or which could complete certain tasks.

Some of the softwares you create might be helpful to other people, and it could go viral, or in the worst case, the software only helps you, and you can work better in your marketing ventures.
 
So you think i should only make my own programs for my personal ventures? The problem with that is that all the time i have done internet marketing, i haven't really ever had a good idea that has worked in the slightest.
 
YES!

If been exprerienced with Computers since over 30 years and so I've been interested in many computer related topics like Cracking, Hacking, Warez.

But no other topic has so many posibilities like SEO. If you spend a few month with it, be sure you'll have an idea every week.

To be a profesional SEO i suggest to learn PHP and JS. PHP is very easy and in combination with JS, you have all you need to do your own projects.

Look recent threads in Making Money section and build small scripts/softwares for specific uses.
Example : Semi-automatic Twitter accounts creator will be useful for many people after reading this buzz thread.
