Programmatically check backlinks

Hi there, I was just wondering how do you programmatically check backlinks? I know there's probably APIs that will do that for you, but I'm looking for the nitty gritty details. I was just curious as how it worked exactly, I did muck around a bit trying to find an answer but most google refers me to this or that service.Thanks

I don't think there will be any api which will let you check backlinks. You can scrap data using google or other sites and filter that using any programming language. I suggest you hire some coder to code some tool for you.
