Hey everyone.

Was wondering if anyone knew of a software free or paid that has the ability to transcribe audio from videos into text. I have some guides that are in video formats that i would love to upload to my blog and i don't feel like writing them all out.

I know some edits will need to be done as it is highly unlikely the software will pick up every word but i am trying to save some time.

Let me know your suggestions below or any guide you have!

Thanks

Chrome+Google docs is going to work best just because they have the most experience. Turn on the mic in a doc and play your audio. Technically, you can do it from the mixer control or a loopback cable on an older machine or with a virtual cable.

You might consider uploading a private YouTube video and downloading the automatic transcription, then deleting your video.

I tried Listen N write free + Virtual Audio Cable on a Win XP machine, but I think Google docs is the way to go. Camtasia will also do it, but I didn't like it.
