Bought 2,500 followers 9 days ago on the profollower.com webpage. They did deliver, after 48 Hrs. But pretty much all of the (fake) followers disappeared after another 24 Hrs. 1000 returned... and disappeared again. I've poked pro follower repeatedly - no answer.

Having your follower count jumping up on down that obviously looks VERY bad and is destructive to an account + it potentially gets you flagged with IG. Sigh...

Anybody knows whats going on? Whoever said that buying followers is lame... might be right... at least when we're talking pro follower.com.

Cheers,

could be another insta purge or add them to the shitlist if they dont come forth

also buying fake followers is always a bad idea for many reasons

I'll allow them the benefit of doubt for a few more days and then add them to the shitlist if they don' t deliver.

I'm not sure I agree that buying followers is ALWAYS a bad idea: Yes, they're as fake as can be, and NO they don't build engagement.

BUT what they do is that they trigger the "social proof" mechanism and thereby attracting REAL, ENGAGING followers. Simply because that 99% of the people out there think that something must be good because it's popular! :-) :-)

thats under debate for how effective that is sure its most effective when you have 100K followers but if you buy that many your engagement is completely screwed, and anything less than 25k followers won't really affect anything.

Just dropped in to confirm this. Social proof is only relevant for monetizing, not building engagement or follower count. The best thing to do is to just build followers organically.

If you want people to click your spammy offer link having social proof is great though.

Thank you for the insight! Actually, I didn't know that. I'm certainly not promoting a spammy link, so I'll stay away from buying more followers in the future. :-)

Always great to learn something new!

Why did you buy from that website? They are very expensive compared to other options.

Look on the marketplace here at BHW in the Social Media section and look for Social Media Panels and SMM Panels for better prices. I reckon any one of the panel providers here will be cheaper than that site.

Good question... Rookie mistake, I think :-) Honestly I didn't know BHW until a few days ago. I paid $23 for 2500 follows. Problem is that they disappeared again almost immediately.

Fair enough. I just hate seeing people pay so much for them from the mainstream providers in the industry when they are actually so cheap to get. It's a shame that they dropped so fast though. Did you contact them about it?

But I guess if you don't know places like BHW then you would probably end up with those providers. Live and learn eh?
