nope - it sure as hell cant - its jut like a normal visitor in that respect.

No, profile page should be viewed without logging in for indexing.

lol I learned this after spending a week making hundreds of Profile backlinks.

if the webmaster use google webmaster tools, he have an option for give acces to forum to googlebot.
If the forum is good ranked we can think webmaster did it, so it can be ok.

So XRumer blasts aren't as effective?

Most of the links in recent blasts I ordered had profile links that needs to be logged in to view.

Blast on a 300k database with 100k succesfull and 6 weeks later you will have 1200 new backlinks.

Google bot and other bots often register into forums. so forum profile links should work pretty nice

Ants is right. For example, check out Shawn Hogan's DP Profile without logging in and you will be asked to Login. URL is: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?u=1
But, when you enter the URL of the Profile in Google and click on "Cached", you can view his Profile . It means that, Google ando ther Search Engines have access to anything on the internet unless they put a Robots.Txt file

Wow, didn't know that google bot can also crawl profile pages that require login. Very useful info because we usually just skipped those that require login to view profile.

I think if the directories or files are not protected with some kind of .htaccess rule google can find them, or how would you explain the "cb recipt" hacking? none of those webmatsters want that link indexed but nevertheless google found them and indexed them. But those links will be harder to get indexed more than the regular profiles that can been seen without login.

I do the same thing and now I'm going to check this out myself to be sure. I'm kinda hoping google bot can't as I've discards hundreds of these links. D:
