Hey guys,

I've been building profile backlinks for a while to some of my sites, but I normally also post on the same forums I have the links on, so my profile normally gets picked up by the SE's. Is pinging the only way to get them noticed from SE's if they have 0 posts?

I RSS'em .. bookmark the RSS and ping the RSS... if that don't work I don't know what would...
 
I've never used any RSS lol. Have any good links to share?
 
bookmarking your profile page and then pinging the bookmark is much more effective for me.
 
Make your own autoblog on one of the big free online blog servers then drip feed your profile links into it then forget it till you need it again
 
ultimategamechain, which bookmarks are the best for it? you really need only one, right/
 
Which sites do you guys bookmark on your profile links? Also how do you confirm your links are indexed by Google? I have done the RSS method with bookmarking the rss and pinging it, but how do I make sure it worked ( got indexed)? Do you guys just do a "site:link" of your profile's URL in G to check if the backlink has been indexed?

You can comment on other blogs with that link back to your profile. This helps getting indexed.
 
Pinging helps however most all forum platforms are seo optimized and your profile is linked to in multiple places so if you are patient they will eventually be indexed. Pinging certainly speeds it up though.

I think this method may be solved your problem.And send it in ping
 
if its open profile, even if you are not pinging, it will get noticed by spiders.

Here ya go, paste in a list of html links and off ya go. You'll have to submit your new RSS feeds to the aggregators. (There's software for that)

I never bother pinging profile pages etc personally, they normally seem to get indexed fairly fast on their own.

I don't thinks so Moremoney, I have profile links made on 02-03-2010, and they are still not indexed in spite of pinging from top 90 pinging services. New Google's anti spam alog required some more effort to get your profile links indexed.
 
Get a wordpress blog with autogenerated content, blast it with some links, add your profile links in content of auto generated posts ... wait :). Works like a charm !.

I made 20 forum profiles 3 days a go and 14 are already in my backlinks, I guess it must all depend on the forums.
