Hey everyone,

I’m curious about which activity holds more weight for SEO – focusing on profile backlinks or leveraging Web 2.0 properties?

Both seem to have their merits, but I’m wondering which one is currently providing better results in terms of ranking improvements and link authority.
What are your experiences with either or both? Would love to hear some insights!

Focus on whitehat hat link building. Blackhat techniques like Web2.0s and profile links will hurt you in the long term

Web 2.0s drives more SEO value.​

 
I’d say both have their use, but Web 2.0 properties give you more control and better link authority since you can add content and contextual backlinks. Profile backlinks are easier to get, but they don’t pack as much punch. Personally, I like mixing both for a balanced, natural look.
 
Web 2.0 properties generally offer better results due to content relevance and contextual linking. However, profile backlinks can complement by diversifying link profiles. A balanced approach works best.

both can be useful or useless
it depends on their backlinks mainly

Web 2.0 backlinks have more authority. But the best is to get a mix of those.
 
Both help with SEO, but Web 2.0 give you more control and room to add real content so they usually work better in the long run.
 
Both carry very limited ranking power compared to other sources. Especially if you're targeting medium- to high-competition keywords, relying solely on these two sources is not an effective long-term strategy.
 
Profile backlinks give steady support to your site. Web 2.0 lets you add useful content with links. Using both together works better for growing traffic and trust.
