Profile Backlinks Still Count?

Hi,

I have been building a lot of profile backlinks, some of which have been indexed and cached in the end of May. None of them show on Google Webmasters though...I actually had two of them show up on Webmasters, and now they are both gone. All other links show but the profile backlinks don't show at all. I also have fell about 2-3 positions in ranking for my main keywords. Can anyone tell me what's going on with this?

Yeah, they are still worth it; but don't focus too much on them and more on high-quality content like articles on web 2.0 properties.
