Professional Offer for Successful Internet Marketer

I'm involved in the developmental stages of several IM related projects and I fully understand that success in any method requires consistency and dedication, but I'm also willing to explore the option of 'outsourcing' the process of becoming successful to those who are more skilled than I, including the process of learning how to become successful. I don't mind investigating and experimenting and working hard, but I also don't see the point in re-inventing the wheel.

With that in mind, I'm interested in working with someone who has the ability to create successful IM campaigns/ventures in a student/mentor relationship. I'd like to find one of those BHW members who has enough experience that they can, with great confidence of success, devise and execute a profitable IM venture, and have that person take me through the process, step-by-step, until the venture has reached a level of success that I can carry it on myself.

Why would someone do that for me if they could just do it for themselves? Of course, our agreement would allow them to profit generously from the venture. One possible scenario might be that my mentor would take the majority of the profit for the first two months, then a reduced percentage for a few months after that. Many arrangements are possible and of course we would need to discuss the particulars to find a plan that would be agreeable to us both.

Beyond that, I'm hoping to find someone who has attained enough success that they would not mind giving something back by helping someone and who is already enjoying enough profit from their own ventures that they don't need to retain every penny from the campaigns they start.

If you feel that this request means that I'm too lazy to do it myself, I remind you that I am already working on my own on several projects and with regard to the mentoring project I would of course be more than willing to do all the work myself - with the guidance of the mentor - and to pay for all costs necessary to get the project going.

I may get lucky and hit on a successful strategy tomorrow or next week, or I may spend months trying and experimenting and getting little or nothing for my effort. I think a far better and more business-like plan would be to hire the services of a consultant who already has what I want (knowledge and experience) and is willing to share it with me for a reasonable remuneration. No serious business owner would fail to use such services if they provided him with a quicker, smoother path to success. Such arrangements are very common and often highly profitable to both parties.

SOOO.. all those of you might who feel the need, urge or compulsion to pull out the flame-throwers and torch me for asking for help, you might instead consider watching this thread to see if my exploit turns out to be the mutually beneficial venture that I hope it will be. You might just see something new and useful come out of this.

The truth is, anyone who's making serious money, doesn't have the time nor the inclination to tutor anyone, they're just too busy.

There are no short cuts for anyone here. Hundreds of threads have been started asking the same thing. There is no easier way.

They would profit even more without you, so what would be the point in bringing you along? they get paid more if they don't bring you in.

There's no way around the natural process here, believe me, many have wasted valuable time trying to find a way.

You can ask and argue the point until your blue in the face. You have to go through the process like everyone else. Read and read, work and work, build solid trusting relationships, you'll succeed.

Any serious responses to my offer will be gladly entertained. All else will be ignored.

Uh, shrugging off someone that has been here for a long time, and then answering for a newbie is semi ridiculous. Lonny is right when he mentioned that very few people will not be inclined to help you when they make the money themselves....

Now, what kind of profits are you looking to gain out of this? Because a very high paying method takes a lot of time to build up and start up cash as well... How much are you willing to invest in your "future in IM?"

Another question, how much time a week are you planning on putting away for nothing but this project?

Also, do you have any plans of your own and of course if you do, how well are you at documenting what you have already done?

And of course you have to ask yourself, what are YOU good at? Sure we can help you with what we are good at, but that won't help you if you aren't good at learning it too....

So these and many more questions are what you need to be asking yourself before putting up a thread and telling people not to flame you....

Because there are so many methods out there that revolve around so many things, your presentation of this idea was a little vague on what part of im you are wanting to succeed in as well as fixing this would make your plan a lot more agreeable to some.

Also, some people may just want upfront payment for helping.. But then they wouldn't want residuals...

My intention is to interact with those who are genuinely interested in my offer, not to debate with those who think I'm wrong. How hard is it just to ignore a thread you're not interested in?

Who said we weren't interested... There were just things in your initial proposition that you missed, and I was asking the questions.

My apologies. I've become used to the major smackdown attitude of so many of the BHW members - often directed at those who are simply asking honest questions because they want to learn. It's a bit of a conflict to have a forum where people claim to want to help each other then jump in with claws bared to rip up those who ask for help. Of course there are the stupid and the lazy who may need a bit of a slap, but I tried to distinguish myself from them with my first post in the hopes of avoiding unsolicited and unhelpful flames.

The first sentence of your reply chastised me for 'shrugging off' a post by someone who essentially ignored the message of my original post (I'm not looking for a handout, but a professional relationship for which I will pay) in order to accuse me of trying to cut corners. Many people in any discipline provide the service of teaching others; I was just looking for a teacher, and of course I got slapped. I apologize if I was unnecessarily defensive.

But on to the questions you asked:

I'm not looking to make a lot of money from a 'tutorial' project, mostly I want to learn how to make a profitable campaign. As I mentioned, I've tried a number of things (and continue to try others) but so far all have cost more than they have brought in.

My time is not unlimited, which is one reason why I'd rather not waste it in trial and error. Frankly I would probably have to limit myself to 10 - 12 hours per week of my own personal time. Outsourcing could allow much more work to be done, of course, so it's hard to say how much total time could be devoted to it.

As I mentioned in the original post, I am working on some projects of my own. How well I'm documenting them is a subjective question, and I'm not sure I know how well I _should_ be documenting them (another important reason why I'm seeking expert help) or exactly what form that documentation should take. I'm sure it could be better.

A very pertinent question indeed. I'm good at writing, but not at sensationalized writing (ie sales hype). I'm good at computer and web stuff (not great at server setup, but adequate) and programming, though I don't know PHP or CSS or XTML. I suck at graphics. I'm also not much of a bullshitter, so I'm not likely to excel at talking people into buying things they don't really want.

I don't feel I need justification for asking people to limit their responses to constructive ones. The world may be filled with vindictive people who delight in slapping others down without providing anything of value, but I don't need permission not to tolerate them. Asking myself questions is a good idea, though.

True, but I intend to have more detailed discussions with interested parties once they identify themselves. Part of the process of learning is getting a clearer idea of what part(s) of IM I would ultimately want to work in. At this point I'm leaning more toward paid traffic to affiliate offers, and I'm trying to learn to balance the costs with the returns. It's difficult for me to understand why a given traffic source fails to yield conversions when it seems to be well-targeted. Some have succeeded by just trying different things at random until they stumble on something that works, but I can't help but think there are those who have learned how to target their efforts more effectively, and I'd like to learn that skill from them.

As I said in my first post, I'm open to a wide variety of arrangements, including perhaps upfront payment - but I would seek some assurances of success for that.
