Profanity in money articles

I was watching Mike tysons latest pod cast with tyson fury and noticed it was full of profanity. Indeed it was the profanity that made it so funny and? Enjoyable. Tyson said he'd picked up so many stds that his neck glands swole up so 'he looked like a fucking toad " every time he turned around that was another fucking needle in the ass

The same message in Queens English would not have been so funny and got me thinking maybe ill throw a few profanities into my blog posts.. Nothing drastic

You get the picture.. Society is tolerant dare say expectant of profanity these days it's everywhere we look, shouldn't our posts reflect this? And embrace it??

From a writer's perspective this is a very interesting point, thanks for pointing it out. It might even belong best in the writing section, even.

I think men resonate well with reasonable profanity. Why? It invokes the feelings of freedom, individualism, care-free attitude, authority even, being alpha.. etc.
It has been medically shown that swearing reduces stress too, something along those lines.

If you're promoting a lifestyle of entrepreneurship, doing business from home, being your own boss, being alpha etc, then including moderate profanity will probably influence the readers positively to a small degree.
Though, by no means focus on profanity in a copy. If there's swearing inside the copy, but the CTA itself looks fake and spammy, it won't do no good probably.
Tasteful profanity should be the cherry on cake of an already great copy.

It's smart in my opinion.

It gives off the vibe that you can do and say whatever you want since you're the one controlling it (as above reply says).

Swearing is generally not a good idea when trying to make money (or in this case when teaching). It gives out an un-serious aura.

It's unprofessional 99.9% of the time to use it in writing

Don't do it.

I use it, but it's a personal blog and adds to the character I'm portraying. I don't use it on my normal money sites.

For a personal blog, I think it will work, for any niched/broad site won`t.
Imagine seeing the weatherman: ``I think today will fucking rain in London, UK ... what a bloody surprise!``

Well, it actually will make me watch TV, to be honest, but in a ``real`` society will not work, that`s the ugly truth, maybe in 10-15 years from now.

To make today your little bitch... And this message is carried over in his promo text.

somehow it enhances the experience in him "saying it as it is" theres a degree of honesty about it integrity even.

saying you'll never reach your goals sitting on that fucking sofa. Hits home more than "are you a couch potato" ?

So for some things it may have a degree of acceptance. I'm not saying posts should be littered with f bombs but... Times o they are a changing.

Maybe if you're trying to appeal to 12-30 year olds.

Otherwise it just looks immature and will probably just increase your bounce rate.
