Producing Web Content while in the "Sandbox" Stage

I like to discuss these type of topics within the community and hear others feedback.

I have almost 125 articles on my website, publishing 1-3 articles a day since launch at the end of March. At this point, I receive only 40-50 organic clicks a day (most of the clicks to 5-6 ranking articles). Does it still make since to continue producing high doses of content even though I'm in the sandbox? My website is approaching 275k words. Quality is extremely high (IMO) and includes other forms of media to be more engaging to the user.

Keep adding content and I've found on a couple of sites the pages are indexing quicker and keywords are organically increasing through content creation.
