Problems with keyword difficulty

Hi guys

It seems that all of the keywords I try to write articles for are at least at a difficulty of 70% or higher on semrush. Anything around 60 or lower has tiny amounts of volume (50-100).

It's a pet niche. Just had my first page rank in on the 7th page and I seriously don't know how to improve with so many competitors on the keyword.

Might be worth going for the low hanging fruit also.
Searches of 20 a month may seem little, but over time they all add up.
These you will be able to rank with very little effort.

Being a pet niche, I guess all your keywords are related to physical products.

As a test, why not try to create an informational port. Something with advice on a topic (pet-related) that has a lower difficulty rate,
