None of the changes that I make with my FTP client shows up in my cpanel. Am I doing something wrong? I have closed programs, and even used two dif programs and neither one of them are making a change to my actual site..

Ok, so after connecting to the remote site and attempting to upload the files is it saying that the transfer was successful, queued, or failed?

Are you sure that you're uploading the files to the correct directory?

Make sure the files are in the correct directory like 195471 said

It is a script. It says to create a directory and then upload the files to it. well i do that in my ftp client, but when i log onto my cpanel and goto file manager, i do not see the directory i created....

So what you're saying is that you're manually creating the directory on the remote site via the ftp client. Then selecting from the local site the files to upload to the directory you just created. After that the files are visible on the remote site viewing through the ftp client, but when logging into your cpanel you don't see the directory created? If that's true you've got me baffled.

exactly
i don't know what is going on..i've used 2 dif clients...

This once happened to me, what I did was i uploaded to a similarly named folder I had a pic folder and a pics folder sometimes it can get confusing when you get a lot of folder :P
if it says file transfer successful, more than likely you either have a similarly named folder or a nested dupe folder.

Start over, try creating a new directory folder right under the root via your cpanel, then log out. Open your FTP client(I prefer FireFTP, very easy), and then check the new folder you created which should be there. If all else fails, call support maybe their servers are acting up. Who knows
