Problems With Blog Comments For SEO

Hey, people I have one little issue and I wonder if I am the only one experiencing this.

When using SEO For Firefox addon it highlights the "no follow" links in red. So when flipping through commenthut blog results for almost any term, almost every single blog makes your links in comments as "no follow" (everything highlighted in red where the links of other comments are).

So basically the question is how in the world do you guys get better rankings with blog comments?

Is there some sort of a trick? Maybe I am using my software incorrectly?

Nofollow links aren't completely useless guy, so I suggest you still get some ******** but as teh guy above me said you could use the tool I made which will search for blogs based on comment plugins that are ******** by default. Its the quickest blog searcher you will find.

What is useful about the nofollow links? Does it still count towards SE rankings?

What is useful about nofollow links? It depends what your goals are. My goal for example is building traffic and my brand. Depending on the the nofollow link you can get some great traffic from nofollow links. Last summer for example I posted some relevant information on a very high traffiked blog. My link brought 'real' people to my site that were highly targeted.

Try not to think solely about SE rankings and look at the bigger picture which is getting targeted and interested people to your site. You do this buy having relevant information on your site and sharing your information on other blogs and sites whether or not is is nofollow.

Yeah nofollow still has a bearing on your rankings and I imagine it always will. Don't forget that google isn't the only SE that you should target. I have had many sites get decent rankings in G and good rankings in Y and M due solely to nofollow backlinks.

Nofollow is also fine for indexing quickly. I think relevancy is the key in links (obviously I try to get plenty of ******** but ... ), if you have relevant links you will get traffic and a link that counts towards SERPs. This is why directories aren't AS useful as they once were.
