I just recently opened an account with Hostgator, still on my first week or so. I then bought 2 sites today but am having trouble uploading them. I'm on the Baby Croc plan and a complete noob to hosting and all of this. I already changed my nameservers to the appropriate hostgator ones, and then went to my Cpanel and added the domains. I was sent the files in a ZIP, but can't figure out where to upload them in the file manager with Cpanel.

If anyone can help, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

you need to upload to the public_html directory for the appropriate domain.

I personally use filezilla. It is shareware and works well. Just ftp into the domain and upload. I don't believe you can unzip the files at the server level, so unzip locally on your pc and transfer the files over to the public_html directory. Hope this helps.

Yes you something like winrar or winzip to extract the files and then upload them to your web server
