I have found a number of Weebly blogs which no longer exist (get the Weebly 404 message) but when I go to register them it says they are taken. What gives?

Sometimes the owner will disable the blog (but not delete) which will show as available but prevent you from registering it. Happens a lot. Good luck

It is part of the process of finding which one is availabe. I don't think there is any way to tell if it is available for registration other than 404. For the time being, I am doing it manually. Enter each one to check for availability. It is time consuming but if you find a nugget then it is worth it.

You have to pay now to allow your weeblys to be indexed, so why are you guys bothering with them?

Weebly is dead. Unless you pay it will never get crawled. I've removed weebly blogs as an option in all my services so people don't get ripped off.

It could be possible that the Blog is disabled OR that the blog was just deleted recently so it will take some time till you can register them.

I registered an expired PR2 weebly two days ago. I posted a spun article and it was indexed the next day. You have to use existing and aged accounts that you own previously to register these expired Weebly.
