Does anyone else have this glorious reaction to problems like I do? As soon as you feel stressed or whatever (usually for me with relationships) you bury your nose in work and become more productive than ever?

It's like the ONLY good thing about me having problems...

Actually I experience the opposite. If I had any problems with social life, I can't concentrate on my IM activities. I'll be thinking about the incident all day even after I goto bed and I'll call that as 0 productive day.

Any advices to handle this issue will be hugely appreciated. :D

Well, I know the REASON why I do it. If you are working 100% giving it your all then you are doing something that is positive that you can control. Usually I do this because it gets my mind off of the problem completely.

...With that in mind, I'm starting. I'm going to bed tonight exhausted most likely.

You won't get any advice from me, because you just described me. lol

I know what you mean. focus that negative energy into work. problems get me back in the IM game stronger than ever.

alot of time people stress me out....i just dive into online work....calms me back down

You are an example of "Under breakneck pressures, some break down while some break records!"

:D

P.S.: Don't know the exact phrase though...

It's "Under Adverse conditions - some people break down, some break records" ;)

Some work to release pressure while some need pressure to work.
Not so sure what I would choose to be honest. Both have benefits though overall I would think SmartMan has a higher productivity while living a happier live.
I know how it works for me, but don't feel like sharing. Did feel sharing what I just did might shed some light.

As an advise to SmartMan I would try to be less perfectionist in my social life. You can't control everything and people usually work themselves out. :)
Also, meditate, or start taking in THC. :P The latter will not help you in day to day productivity though. lol

Ignore as you see fit. :)

Get yourself into more problems then.... have an affair ... film it, upload it hamsterx, rinse repeat and scale up until you hit millionaire lifestyle.

Gang dem style

I wish when I had personal problems I was able to bury myself in IM work. Instead I go to the bar and bury myself under a giant bar tab. For some reason when I get stressed, the last thing on my mind is work. Would be cool if I could turn that around...

This is the kind of emotive/nostalgic people, where I fit too. But OP seems to bank while others spend time glazing. Anyway, I think it is best to keep a balance :)

I am on day #2 of the law of attraction. This morning, I woke up feeling very excited to work. And I have a very large problem on my hands with my son. Believe me when I say that when there are problems in my life, the last thing I can do is concentrate, and the last thing I want to do is work. Look at the post I made in this thread yesterday, and look at me today. The more I fill my head with positive thoughts, the more joy I feel. It really does work. You really can turn it around. If I can do it, anyone can. Believe me when I tell you that I was the biggest worry wart and a stressed out mess. You can only have one thought at a time. Instead of thinking about your problem in a bad way, think how you want it to change and get yourself excited about it. It's not being delusional. It is believing and having hope. Your thoughts are like a magnet and good thoughts attract good things. Bad thoughts attract bad things. I never thought I'd be saying this to people but it really is true.

Wow! Nice to see this much improvement overnight. You really concentrated well on following the law of attraction formula. Cheers.

As a side note, I'd want members like me to read through this great article. I found it after Amsterdammer's reply for my post.

It reflects me 100% top to bottom and I'm feeling so much better after reading it. :)

I decided to be less perfectionist than how I am now and should not worry much about people's characters. They are just they are.

To be honest, I think it is just a defense mechanism. It isn't necessarily a GOOD thing if it ends up that I explode later because of it. Luckily, I tend to blow off the steam through the hard work and I'm fine later.

And when I wrote this I was stressed... and now it has been sorted out (and I'm not being as productive!). Go figure..

Yeah, I tend to do that too, to some extent.

I also start drinking heavily, so it's kind of a trade-off.

Yeah man I definitely agree with you. I do try to look at everything in a positive way for the most part, but it's just the concentration thing that gets me. It's hard for me to focus on work and being productive when I have a million things running through my head. Kinda gets overwhelming and it's just easier to shut it all out by doing mindless stuff like watching TV or whatever. Then when I have a clear head I can come back to working and focus better.

I lost my girlfriend because of this. Its okay, its NOT a bad things, but keep your heads up and see whats happening arround you and dont let anything you want to keep fall into pieces.
