problem with yahoo answers - greater problem or tied to todays update?

I posted a new answer for a yahoo question, and my links arnt showing up as clickable, they worked this morning, but since the error messages all day its been not showing my links as clickable

I've tried posting www.google.com as a test to see if it was just my domain it had marked as spam or something but that has the same problem

Has anyone else using yahoo answers seen all their account/answers becoming non clickable in the past or is this likely to just be part of the weirdness all over yahoo answers today.

Someone posted an answer with a link to my question and their link is showing up as clickable, while mine isn't, even after being picked as the best answer.


for people who can't be bothered to read
to sum up, is this a recognised problem with accounts they think might be spamming (disabling links rather than banning) or is it just yahoo being weird

I've got the same problem.

It must be with new accounts as I had a new IP, new account and tried to post a link to http://google.co.uk and it's not clickable.

Hmmm, any solutions anyone?
 
this account is about a month or 2 old, and the links all worked fine till yesturday,
have you had the problem just today or for a few days topcat

the account i posted the answer from was an old account with quite a lot of rep

and the account i posted the question from was from a new account today :S
 
Had a level 3 or 4 account which was quite old. It got suspended a few days ago but the links in all the posts remain clickable.

Yesterday I was able to post clickable links with new accounts.

Today I'm not.

on the front page, so hopefully its just a glitch today rather than a measure put in place for people they think are spamming

earlier today for a while my links would be clickable, then id refresh and it wasn't clickable then i'd refresh later and they would be clickable, but they have been unclickable most of the day now

if it was a spamming measure its quite a good idea (although obviously sucks for us)

fingerscrossed once their site is fully up and running again everything will be back to normal
 
I posted some answers last night and everything seemed fine. It's surely got to be a matter fo time before Yahoo does somethign about yahoo answers.

I remember when I started raping it I could do it for at least $200 a night and even had a $565 night once. Now for the same time and effort I can get around $60 at best.

Too many people have eventually noticed how to make money from it and have basically copied what the few were doing successfully. However, most of them haven't used any imagination whatsoever and now it has just turned in to a pointless spam pit, shame.

just had a thought about this issue, making urls non clickable isn't even a great solution it ends up cutting urls off in the middle making them unusable, making posts even more useless.
 
I really hope this isn't permanent, As said previously, as they cut long urls down to a shortened version it leaves a ton of url's useless. I'm not sure what yahoo is thinking. I just cant fathom the thought of them disabling all url's.
 
Just thought I would say this happened to me today also. Thought I did something wrong until came here and read the post lol :)
 
Damit same thing with me. I guess its an update on yahoo's side but not a very good one for us :(
 
This happend to me as well although my account was suspended for spamming. :(
 
As far as I know this is just a temporary problem and Yahoo is already busy fixing it.

Has happened a few times before, and they were always quick at fixing it.

Where's your information coming from? I mean it'd be nice if that was true but without some sort of evidence that this is just a glitch, im afraid im forced to believe this is gunna be perm. =(
 
the warning message isn't on the site anymore and my links are unclickable still, and a new answer i made was also unclickable.

this is seriously annoying, having to hope people copy and past my url into their browser

i've seen a blatent spam answer get removed from a question i asked yesturday, but still no fix for this clickable links thing.(/edit - the answer was by someone else not me)

it really sucks because the answer on my other question that IS clickable is from a guy who seems to spam his links around yahoo and his answer is fine which seems unfair.
 
- more information,

i checked again, and saw an answer posted today from someone else 3minutes ago came up as a link, but they are level 3
i posted an answer from level 1 account and the link was unclickable

can anyone confirm if its a shift in post levels thats the problem -ie must be level 2 for links to become active

their yahoo answers blog is useless too, whats the point of it if it doesn't tell you whats wrong on the site or what new features are

been reading up, seems other people think its a user level thing, which is STUPID as a spam prevention mesaure since it encourages people to answer and ask way more questions in order to get their account working which could just result in even more spam, or more stupid questions getting fake top answers to get bumped to number 1

more points, you get points for answering questions and points for having your answer chose as best,
you need like 250 points to get to level 2, but you can only ask and answer a certain ammount every day, even if i max out my answers itll still take me about 3 - 5 days to earn enough points to get to level 2, and i don't even know if thats the issue
 
fuck i totally fucked up, i have an account thats really close to level 2 and i can't remember the fucking login :(
