Hello there blackhatworld... So this is first time I'm doing such a thing, I bought domain on godaddy and I can't figure out how to connect it with my hosting on webcare360, I won't even bother doing this but domains are much cheaper on godaddy than those ones offered by my hosting... looks like my domain is locked and I can't get autorization code which is requested when I try to buy hosting on webcare360... anyone help?

You don't need to transfer the domain to your hosting, take your hosting nameserver and past them inside the domain settings

didn't see your replay, will try to do that ;) thanks

Usually it is like 60 days lock or something like that. But if you have the IP of the server you can create an A record to that or change the nameservers of the domain. I don't think you will need to transfer it.

Ok but when I try to purchase hosting before I can do that it asks me for domain name... If I want to change nameserver I neee to have already purchased hosting?

Even if you get asked for the domain name it doesn't mean you will need to have it on the hosting company I guess. Usually I set my own servers without buying hosting packages but the nameservers can be easily changed on GoDaddy with 2 clicks in the case you need to. Try looking at what the hosting offers and see how they want you to point your domain to their servers.

For domain name, namesilo is cheapest(under $9) with free full features, namecheap is popular one. Godaddy renewals are steep.

You don't need to transfer your domain to your hosting, most people don't do that. When you signup for hosting you
will get option to input domain that you already own from different place, buy new one from the webhosting company.

You just input your already registered domain from godaddy, namecheap or others. You will get your hosting details
like cpanel user pasword, domain nameservers etc.

You go to your domain registrar and input nameservers from your webhosting into dns settings.
exg: dns1.webhosting.com
dns2.webhosting.com

If you need further details just search "godaddy nameserver setting".
It's only confusing first few times. Just do it, you won't break anything, you will quickly learn.

Looks like I've done it... I installed wordpress but when I type down my domain this pops up... but when I go to mydomain.com/wp it shows the site? does it need some time to get working or what?
