Problem with Shopify duplicate content

Hi all

I have a shopify site that is creating duplicate content of collections pages with a /vendors dynamic url

eg:

domain.com/collections/example-category

is being duplicated with:

domain.com/collections/vendors?q=example%20category

The vendors url has a canonical referencing itself, not the collections version of the url.

Any ideas how to solve this?

This is the habit of shopify, as long as you give Google the URL specification, then there is no problem, I think the answer is this.

As long as the URLs in the sitemap you submit to Google are canonical, you should be fine

The problem is both /vendors url variations and collection url variations are self referencing canonicals
