problem with pages ranked in google

I have been working on a website to get on the first page of google for my local dentist keyword. When it does i want to contact dentists and get them to pay to be on my website. I put up a wordpress blog and wrote 2 posts: 1 stuffed with my location + dentist and the other one about the role of fluoride in dental care. I have done some backlinking and currently have about 20 backlinks to my main domain location-dentist.info.

I am ranking on page 2 now which isnt that bad i think, however the page that is ranking is the first post which is stuffed with the location and dentist. I however want my main domain to be ranked there because now it shows a long link like location-dentist.info/the-best-dentist-in-location-explained-here. I'd rather have my main domain just there since I think users will like that more. How can i accomplish this.

I thought about making a static html page with the same content so that the article which is now ranking is on the index.html. Will this work? Or can i say to wordpress: this article is the index.php or something?

if you create your backlinks to your domain name you will take over. What link where you creating your backlinks to?

Is that your domain and your niche? I would recommend removing it

that domain has no backlinks on yahoo site explorer though.

I'm not sure if you understood my question very well, that domain isn't my domain exactly you'll have to replace location with my city of course.

But still anyone know if in wordpress a plug in exists to make one page the index.php of a the domain?
