Problem with my SEO company

Being the cheapest price is a HUGE MISTAKE.

Value is associated with price. Don't believe it? Just take a look around. You will grow to hate this business if you continue to insist on ridiculously low pricing. It simply requires too many clients to make it worth your time. Speaking of which, what is the dollar value that you have placed on your time? I can already tell that you haven't based solely on your pricing, and if you have, it's way too low.

What would you rather do? Work really hard to obtain one hundred clients to make x amount of income and be the cheapest guy in town, or work really hard to obtain ten clients that you charge more for your services for to make the same x amount of money? Think about that one.

Finally, your prospects are right. They don't need a website, a Facebook fan page, SEO, or any other item related to Internet marketing. I realize that sounds really outrageous but it's true.

Let me clarify. In the movie "Back to the Future" with Michael J Fox, he used the DeLorean to go back in time. Did Michael J Fox NEED the DeLorean though or was the DeLorean a mere tool to reach the end goal? What did Michael J Fox really need?

He needed a solution to his problem. Much like the gold diggers of the past who needed picks and shovels to reach gold. The DeLorean, the picks and shovels, websites, SEO, Facebook fan pages are tools...nothing more.

I'm not going to give you the answer, but the question you should be asking is, "What does the business owner really need?"

If you can answer that question and focus your pitch on that instead, you'll be way ahead of your competition and stand out from the crowd. And for the record, the answer has nothing to do with greed.

As it stands right now, you are just like your competitors and hence your false belief that you can't and/or shouldn't charge a premium price for your services.

Good luck with your business venture and much success to you!

It seems like the main problem here is that in your country people have not realized the importance of what SEO is, and what direct targeted organic traffic can do for them. So you need to "educate" them about this. Create some compelling marketing materials in the form of flyers, YouTube Video Presentations, entire marketing perspectives, etc. You will need to approach the potential clients directly, either via cold calling, walking into the store/office, direct mail, etc. You need to make them believe that they need your services! Because unfortunately, it seems no one is searching out those services in your location.

This is a good thing. If you apply yourself, you can land lots of clients, and as no one esle is really doing SEO work, your job of ranking them is so much easier.... and they will love you and think you;re a freaking genius.

BUT DO NOT sell your services for the cheapest price.... that just makes you look cheap. It's a mind game. When people pay more money, they instinctively think they are making a better decision and getting quality. Put yourself either right in the middle or top 25% of the price range, and you will do just fine.

You've got your work cut out for you as far as direct client approach, but at the same time if no one else is cashing in on offline SEO where you live, this could be your Golden Ticket.

Good luck.

Thank You guys for every answer. I really appreciate this. I have some news for You, i hope You will be interested.
Actually i came to the conclusion that i should target my offer. Till today i always did "mass sale". Now i am going to target my offer to exact business. I will provide Google Adwords info about exact month searches etc. to sell my seo services.

Actually i have 3 contracts:
- web directory submissions (30 directory per month) - 10 USD per month / 1 year contract
- web directory submissions (30 directory per month) + review submissions (30 review per month) - 25 USD per month / 1 year contract
- website design + 1 year hosting and domain - 35 USD per month / 1 year contract

It is not very much but i know that if i will target my offer i will make much more sales. Thanks!

You seem like you have the skills for SEO, but maybe not at selling :)

I'd highly recommend, that you search 'jay abraham' on BHW and download all the ebooks/courses available.

Then read them once, and at least 3-4 times over. This should give you so many ideas! There are many great idea's provided by members here but in reality you will benefit more if you understand the whole selling psychology rather then just bits and pieces of info.
