Problem with Keyword, please help..

Hey guys, I want to ask one question and I'd like to get your opinion.

Recently found a keyword with 8k monthly searches with competition of 20-25 in various keyword research tools (MOZ, keywordrevealer, KWfinder, etc). However, there is one problem that is really bugging me.. The first two pages when I type the keyword have good on-page optimization and offer free beginners guide to the method. Guides are not professional and they are used as a regular blog posts that happened to climb on a first page with some help from blog commenting and social signals, and people respond to them.

Is it worth to rank a product that offers professional advice where there are 2 beginner guides on top of google?

It has 8k searches, easy to rank and your competitors are weak. so why not? Definitely it's worth the bet. Ranking the content keywords may not sound as beneficial as ranking the e-commercee keywords. but still, hey it will drive traffic to your site and reduce alexa. Just try it !

I'd say that competitors are moderate. I worry because they offer free similar stuff.. But definitely will try
