I am currently trying to start selling Clickbank products through eGay and I am using one of my domains as a link and plan to have it redirect to my hop link. The problem I am having is when I make my link egay blocks it. It looks correct but when you click the link it says connection interrupted. I searched around on the forum and couldn't find any help.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I cant believe that the best response I got was " LOL eGay". Maybe I should have acted like some moron and said I need to make $500 fast to pay my rent instead of actually trying a method and asking a legitimate question. Thanks again LUKE for your educated answer it is exactly what I was looking for :).

Sorry but lol you made my day. This was actually quite funny the way you responded to him. Anyway I'm not to sure about eBay and why it does that but what If you try making a button and then just hyperlink that??

Nope it doesnt work the link has been blocked. It looks like when someone clicks the link it changes the link itself and puts characters at the end of it. http://www.domain.com/2232.

If anyone has any ideas or any other ways of doing this it would be appreciated.

you can just do 404 redirect to your offer page,
so when ever ebay change to domain.com/2132 it should redirect to your offer.
    try it and tell us

Ok here is how I have it set up,

My domain name is forwarded at go daddy to my hoplink (Clickbank landing page). I do this so I dont have to put my affiliate link on eGay.

How would I do a 404 redirect in this situation? John

maybe you can setup 404 pages on godaddy. this is possible at almost every provider...

you have webspace? there you can create a htaccess were you can define the 404-pages. the 404-pages contain a redirect to cb

Ebay does not like outbound links. The only place you can do that is on your about me page. Maybe direct them to it to get more info, and put your link there.

If you are doing that in an auction it can get you banned [circumvetion of fees]

you should be able to link out of a classified ad without any problems.

I am using a classified ad but they did block my link. The only way I got it to work was link to my About Me Page then link to my domain name. When I initially put a link on my classified ad it worked fine, but after about an hour it didnt. John

If it's putting numbers at the end of it you could do something like this in your htaccess

    HTML:
    RewriteRule ^redirect.html(.*) http://www.affiliateurl.com
So that it redirects no matter what is on the end of the link

I just checked a couple of links I have in a eb@y classified ad and they are still up. I think I posted it around the 20th, so it has been up over a week. When I mouse over the image the link in the status bar doesn't have extra characters added to it.

Maybe they just haven't caught mine yet.

It needs to go in a .htaccess file in the root of the website, I just tested it and should work fine. If you can't get it to work google .htaccess

    Code:
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteRule ^redirect.html(.*) http://www.affiliateurl.com
