I've a website in the drone niche here in Italy and I'm making about 200 € a month from Amazon + 50/70 € from AdSense a month (98% Organic traffic from Google). Problem is that I tried to sell it and had asked for 4000 €, a drone company accepted it and I sended the selling contract. I'm waiting for the signature.

Now, this company has accepted this offer because it has already an activity on drones (Selling, Support, Repairs etc) and can make this investment positive. So, I'm thinking not to sell the site because I know I can earn more than 250 € a month, but I do not know how.

The site was originally created to make money with Amazon but the maximum for each sale in Italy is 10 €, really nothing compared to the profits in a niche where drones can cost more than 20.000 €!

Few people contacted me to receive quotes to buy drones in large quantities but I don't know nothing about selling and I've sended them drones from Alibaba it's not a good idea (people complained about the low quality and not bought).

So I'm here to ask an advice on how monetize this website and make serious business insted sell it (I'm sure that what I have in hand is gold but do not know how to make it shimmer).

Review site with 500/600 unique a day from G. I know I can do big things by starting a drone activity but I don't know nothing about drones (all content was written by copywriters) and the ROI is frighteningly high.

I have already earned a big sum and this will probably be a passive income for many years, but not enough for me, I feel that there is much juice to be squeezed.

i would keep it as part of your portfolio, and just keep adding to that portfolio, and keep the site refreshed every so often. If you had 10 like that would you be happy then?

The problem is not money but exploit an opportunity that I think I'm not taking advantage. In a niche so rich it is easy for me to sell 1 drone at 2000 € to make profit that I'm doing now by selling nearly 1 drone a day. Problem is that I need someone to manage this business for me because I don't know nothing about drones (do not even have one!)

Because you already agreed to sell the site, you might want some legal counsel. Better call Saul!

I have not signed anything, I'm waiting the signature from the company, that is not a problem :)

Is there a reason you can't sell this site and then start another one?

It sounds like the company buying it are only going to be selling their own products, whereas you are selling various products - you could easily recreate that and the purchaser won't even be competing with you.

If that's an option for you though make sure they do not have a non-compete clause in the contract, because if they do, you are out of that niche for good.

Another option would have been to sign them up for an advertising/affiliate deal on your site. If they're prepared to buy the site from you, presumably they would have been prepared to spend some decent money advertising with you.

Going down that route now may not be a viable option, as they may take a dim view of you changing the deal at this late stage but it may still be worth considering.
