I made a small site with 12 links on it pointing to pages where my backlinks are. I put a lot of text and the links are as anchor text. The site was indexed by google but none of my backlinks was indexed. What can be the reason for that? Do i have to do something to make google bots follow this links?

I'd like to ask a similar question. I've a new site with 150+ pages, all substantial and cross-linked via site menus on each page. But google only indexes about 12 of the central pages. Meanwhile, backlinks to my core site, put up elsewhere, as with emil9216's problem, are not indexed.
Any information on how to change this would be greatly appreciated.

try pinging the links. or just let google naturally index them.

Ping the links and add "Google XML Sitemap" plugin to your blog. Every time you create a link, go to
and add the page where your backlink is located. Add the name of the site your backlink is located at, and check all those sites.
This will tell google:
HEY GOOGLE LOOK OVER HERE SPIDER THIS SITE!
and google will be all like
OMG OMG I GOTTA SPIDER THIS SITE, OH NOES! A BACKLINK
*adds to the list of backlinks pointing to your site*

Yes it seems now that you have to do something to get google to follow your links and it seems also that pinging links does not always get the link indexed these days. There are a couple of things I have been doing to get a good percentage of links indexed.
Put the links in a post on a blog that is getting spidered regularly already.
Combine a number of links into one rss feed link using services like rssmix.com take that url and bookmark it, ping it and submit to rss feed agregator sites.

I'm planning on several of these things -- actually have started doing a few -- but I'm figuring on 5000+ pages to my main site and that's a lot of individual pages to set up elsewhere just to get them indexed.
hamma suggested "Put the links in a post on a blog that is getting spidered regularly already." I've been experimenting with that. Exactly two and only two pages were picked up by google; all the other links mentioned were not since google didn't spider down the index page I used.
