Problem getting big - need advice

We have a competitor is who is the sleaziest little rat I've ever seen. We've always ignored his bad mouthing on the net, but its getting damaging now.

He's made a couple false claims on one of those damned complaint boards. We ignored it for a year, but now he's actually linking the hell out of it and taking over the front page for our name.

We've already contacted an attorney and they've said with the net the way it is, its nearly impossible, or too expensive to proceed.

Any advice?

I think, you should DMCA him. Or does DMCA only work with content?

I have the same thing happen to me. You just need to outrank him for your company name. Also build 2.0s with that keyword and blast the !)@#)@@#@#( out of it.

Blackrat, ya its competition only and mudslinging isnt really our thing. LIke I said I would just ignore it but he is taking over half the page.

My only thought is buying every variation of our name and doing some work on them. I assume they'd outrank his crap but not really what I want to spend my time or money on.

I guess thats good for a couple service providers on BHW
