Hello,i've a problem,or i think is a problem (big problem) i don't know why but i'm boting on 6 accounts, some of them are new, that what i can see is that engagement rate is so low! over 2k follow only 10% follow back (200).

untill last month situation was so different, all went smoothly, but now i don't know why...

last month i was reaching 100-200 follower at day, today just 20 followers in one day....

instagram changes rules?

sorry for my english.

Up this thread, someone can help me?

There could be plenty reasons why your follow-back-ratio decreased.

You need to target your users better.

You have changed your sources for the worst.

Maybe your IG Bot can't find new users and you have to add new sources.

How many people do you follower per day? Many make the mistake to follow 1000 people per day, therefore increasing their follower number, but lowering their engagement, which is much more important. I know people who follow 200 people per day, but target the users so good that they get follow-back-rates of 50%.

You might think: "More followers mean more reach". But that's not true. If your engagement is too low IG shadow bans your posts, therefore lowering your organic reach, which is much more important.

What are your steps you take to find good sources? I currently am doing a band IG for my brothers kickass band although the likes are right around the 10% mark the comments are lacking to help build momentum

Just put yourself into your target group. What kind of people would be interested in your brothers band? What kind of music do they like? Which bands are they following? How many followers do they have on average? How often do they post on IG? About what do they post? What kind of hashtags do they use?

And so on. If you want to have great engagement you have to think like your target group and offer them something/images that they would like.

Theyre a heavy metal band with almost 1100 followers(thanks to me),They've had that 10% like ratio on every post since ive taken over. I've been targeting almost all the labels that have heavy metal bands, also targeting metal festivals that have an IG and finally targeting the bands that closely resemble their sound in hopes to scrape some of their fans. Just wondering if you have any other details that really made your IG stand out?

You could try to use a theme.

That makes your IG Account stand out.

Furthermore you should track the follow-back-ratio per source. This gives you the possibility to learn more about your target users. If you use a the official Black Sabbath IG account as follow source you may receive a better follow-back-ratio than using a less popular bands IG account.

What I try to say: Learn what your target group likes. Do you get a better follow-back-ratio from older metal bands (80s, 90s) or from newer ones.

Also publish videos with sound samples. You could use sound samples as a part of your theme strategy.

I don't know what tool you use, but MassPlanner give you the chance to follow people with certain amount of follows and followers, therefore excluding bots and other metal bands. Maybe your tool also has a similar feature.

Thanks man, I currently use MP, how do you normally set up your settings to protect yourself from botted follows? this has been the hardest part for me so far.

Well it depends on your niche. Take a manual look at the people that follow your follow-sources. How many do people do they follow? 100 or 300 people maybe... I would say a real user rarely follows 1000 people. But I don't have the exact numbers in my head. See what you can find in the forums or you just have to look for yourself.

I know a bit about IG Marketing, but I am by far not an expert :p

As far as I can remember you can also choose to only follow users that have posted in a certain amount of days. Which kind of bot only posts once per week? Almost no one. But remember: I am not focusing on IG right now, therefore I can only tell you what I remember when I used it.
