Probably the most stupid SEO question ever...about embed/iframe videos.

I'd like to know if there is some SEO benefit if my videos, published on my site, get embebbed by other webmasters on their site using embed or iframe code

a lot of video sites give this option to webmasters or visitors, most of them now use iframe instead embed code, probably iframe is more flexible than embed for scripts, but I haven't find a definitive answer yet if this way of getting promoted by other webmasters brings also SEO (backlinks) advantage and not only marketing advantages

The embed code is an iframe.

Logically you would think that this is in essence, backlinking your youtube video.

You could try split testing it with another video to see how it changes the rankings.

It's probably considered a backlink as far as authority goes. A video that is embedded in a page is essentially linked from that page for all practical purposes.
