Private Proxy to Thread Ratio

I was wondering if anyone knew what the thread to proxy ratio is? I have 5 private proxies (testing them out). How many threads is the optimal amount with a single, fast private proxy?

You have to be more specific... the amount of threads per proxy recommended differs depending of the activity you're performing.

Are you using it for a program similar to scrapebox (which would run more threads per proxy) or some sort of social media bot?

Most companies recommend that you dont use more then 100 connections so it really depends on the company youre using as well.

For scraping google or other SEs then 1:1, you have to go as slowly as possible to avoid blacklisting. For doing anything else (e.g. spamming) then you will have to experiment to see what max threads you can use with your particular proxy provider. I would say most proxy providers will start to block if you used 100 threads, in reality the usable number of threads will be much lower than that. I would start testing at 20 and work up or down from there depending on the results.

For public proxies it's always 1:1 because most public proxies are so overloaded anyway that you'll completely kill it if you try to use multiple threads.

As above, depends on the activity, but also your proxies too.

Private proxies which are high speed will obviously perform much better than shared proxies.

I tend to stick to a ratio of 10 threads per private proxy. I use this ratio when registering/posting or anything similar.

If I am going to be scraping a massive list, I tend to put it 3:1 with at least 10 private proxies in use, this can last a long time before getting blocked. If small lists or fewer keywords/terms, 10:1 is fine too.
