I am building a private network and currently have about 30 domains with wordpress installed. I'm considering creating a handful of subdomains on each domain with a separate wordpress blog. So let's say I create 10 subdomains per root domain and that originally I would have one link on each root domain going to my money site. Now, I'd have 10 per domain, 1 per subdomain. Since google looks at subdomains as essentially separate domains, will this method increase the number of unique inbound links in google's eyes?

Go ahead, why not? Setting up subdomain links won't cost you anything except time. They may even be more durable, if your budget can't handle sustaining buying backlinks or domains to create your backweb.

Where were u planning on hosting these sites? if they are all on the same ip then you will not pass any link juice across to your money site, if you managed to set up some extra hosting it could be beneficial if you were planning to do a lot of seo on these domains, however if u just got like 1 pr 3 do-follow link it would probably be worth the same as all the other links due to them being pr0 and new. It could even be cheaper :)

Right now all domains are on a unique IP, subdomains would be on the same IP as the parent domain.

Yeah, you would need c-class hosting for that.

It would pass linkjuice...but not as much and it also raises flags...

OP. Usually people building networks want to pass manual reviews to not get their network de-indexed. You might want to think about that..

That's what I'm talking about. Subdomains on same IP pointing to money site is big redflag for Google.
