Private Hotel Booking System - Need rough estimate

Hey guys,

I was wondering if there are any experienced users in this field who may be able to give me a quote on how much something like this would cost.

We have a motel and have a website. Currently, on the website, we have a form which people will out, and we email them back with a rate. This is very inefficient for us.

We are trying to make the website where it will give rates automatically, and also show availability. We want to authorize all charges at the time of the reservation, but we want to actually charge them when they arrive.

We need it to be private, as in self hosted and noone else can view. Also, lets say if someone reserves a room by calling, we want it to update the online availability.

Does anyone know how much something like this would cost, or who can do it?

You can also create hire a company and create your own cms that is link to your website. You can manage everything related to the business from there. I can help you with a website if you want to discuss the details

I looked into one company so far, InnRoad. I did not like that they host and have access to everything. I want something private.

I can help you get this set up, however, it really depends on a lot of things. For example, where are you getting the rates from? Do you own the hotels or are they just a network of partners of yours? Is there an API from your rate source so they you can automatically pull rates, or do you have to manually get them from the hotels?

How does the hotel POS connect to your site? You would need to have the hotel POS connect to your site (in some way, such as seamless integration, or the hotel informs you that the customer has checked in), as that would be the only way to capture an authorization once they check in.

Again, all the features you want depend on how your current system works. To have availability update from a phone call, it depends on if it's an automated phone interface so that all the necessary changes can be made automatically, or if they talk to an actual person, meaning that person would need to update the availability once the customer confirms a reservation.

best one out there is sabre hospitality "Synxis" booking engine. They build the booking engine, implement it into the site and you control everything from a backend control. However, i do believe you pay them a rate for every booking, something like 3% or a flat rate.
