Private Blog Network - You are doing it wrong

Thanks for the great post. I'm grateful to you for writing this

Should I use a different shared host per site?

Can I register new domains (instead of buying old ones), set up nice-looking WP blogs with them, add 1000-word unique content to each. Would that be good for a PBN?

No... that is not possible unless you have 10 creditcards, i wanted to open a second godaddy account for a PBN domain from the auction and i could not do it as the card was connected to another account

The rest is absolutely spot on... this is how i build my PBN's

It is possible, i have 8 godaddy accounts and use same CC everywhere. Just once i had a problem where Godaddy asked to verify the CC since it was not in my name and they asked all the details of the cardholder including Govt issued ID etc. Since the CC was in the name of my spouse, i just photographed all IDs and mailed them, the account got verified in just few hours of getting blocked and i also gave details of all my 8 accounts and told them i will be using the same CC everywhere. Also cautioned them i need to have all those 8 accounts as that is my business model and if they cannot accept it i move elsewhere. Of course, combined all the accounts i almost pay 6k every year to Godaddy. So that is some business they cannot dump. The support guy said that it is perfectly fine with them as long as i do not do CC fraud.

Thanks again for your informative post lightningblitz . I'm in a process of creating my first PBN. Good luck to you man, you are very nice guy!

fc - dh: It comes down to knowing how to talk to GoDaddy. VCC, Gift Cards and making the call and moving up support does the trick for me.

I no longer do the VCC / Multiple account thing for a discount because if my account get locked I spend too much time dealing with it on the phone, not worth my hassle.

I do appreciate you chiming in though. The information you pull out for how you do things differently makes these couple PBN threads a '4 idiots' guide for anyone trying to build a PBN. You are bringing up stuff I never would have thought to mention.

@ My SEO Email:

You are doing things how I do. I do have some Who Is block from sites I bought or when I am lazy. But I try to make all:

Unique Email
Unique Person Name
Real Physical Address

Yes, you should have different hosting as that is a BIG footprint.

New domains have no power and one article is not enough. If you can't get already existing domains with strong links you should not be building a PBN.
Does not need to be my information (Should not be) but the point is it looks real.

I juist stopped buying domains with Godaddy, the benefits don't out way the hassle of creating accounts, getting VCC's and giftcards (which aren't very common here) with them and begging them to pay them...

I'll just let them be, there are more then enough registers to go around and i have a new and better source for domains so i don't need godaddy's auctions anymore either... fuck them , if they don't want my money i will spend it elsewhere...

Namesilo and Namecheap are my favorites

I only use GoDaddy when I may be selling the domain or sending it to a client. They make pushing domains easier to another GoDaddy account.

I like the following registrars:

Namesilo
Name
Rock

...

Anything but GoDaddy. I have a couple money sites still with GoDaddy hosting and registrar I plan on moving away. The problem is I still have PBN domains with them too. It is a hassle but the smart money is with not using them.

I do use the same paypal with GoDaddy. I assume risk with that.

Hosting is the most important footprint. Even using different private IP's on the same hosting provider is a risk. Personally, I buy cheap hosting accounts for 1-4$ monthly and use it for 2 blogs. Currently, I have around 45 blogs on 30 different hosting providers.

Great posts got some new insights on PBNs...thank you for that...

What happened? You check your links and find out the entire PBN was hit. How could this happen? The seller had Unique C - Class IPs! Come to find out, when the seller was selling you posts on the home page, he was also selling posts that roll off the home page for $2 each (Yes, it happens). You do a little digging to check the sites on the home pages of your purchased PBN links and see a couple links to .xyz domains. You click on the links and it takes you to a crappy one page site targeting 'Daffy Duck Licensed Towels'. The site is stealing the Disney logo, has a non - readable article on it, and looks awful. You check the Who Is and it is set to private. You check the back link profile and you find that this site had several thousand links of spam blasted to it.

Like a game of domino, when that site got hit, a manual reviewer looked at its 'good links' coming from a 'high quality' PBN. Every other site linked got looked at as well as there back link profiles. Before you know it penalties are raining like beads at Mardi Gras.

From where did you get this information?

I am curious to know because i have been buying those cheap PBNs posts that cost $1-2 dollars per post on the marketplace from like 6-8 different sellers and sure, throughout the time some of those domains will get caught by google and they will deindex those domains but the links that this domains were pointing to wont get hit.

I have bought around 25 times from those cheap pbn posts sellers since last year to 10-12 different domains and my sites have never been hit by a penalty.
