ok so i read that your blog network content should correlate with your money site content.

what if you make a different site thats not correlated with your first money site.

do you have to make a new pbn? i thought your pbn could be used for any niche.

thanks

Articles should be relevant to your money site, not the whole blog or PBN.

Maybe you should ask Matt Cutts about private blog networks, he is developing a reputation for taking them down, see the article below:

I doubt Google has or ever will be able to take down true private networks that are created by professionals. Unless they start doing something illegal, there is no way to tell if it's a PBN or not. Cutts can never say he knows of every way to take down the networks because there is always someone smarter than him.

If you make them niche relevant, they would bear more power and authority which would correlate with your serps.

Different people take different approaches:

1. Create PBN sites that are multi-niche where content from sports or finance through to shopping and business could be published. Generally a persona is created and a blog style of writing and posting is used to fit all of the different topics in.

2. Create PBN sites that are focused tightly around the niche of one of your money sites.

You also need to consider that having a PBN of, let's say, 30 sites and linking from those 30 sites to the same set of, say, 5 money sites is going to leave an obvious footprint. Personally I only use each PBN site to link to one money site and this is working well for me.

But then I get all my domains for registration fee so it's not too costly. If you are buying expensive auction domains then you might have to do a mix of the two options above - in other words create a fairly generic site about a top level niche such as "health" which would allow you to link to diet, sports, exercise, etc while still having some benefits of being a niche focused site.

you get your domains for registration fee? but how?

I don't use auctions but rather have my own custom built crawler that finds expired domains that still have backlinks from authority sites. It's so much easier/cheaper to scale up to 20, 50, 100 sites or more this way.

I find that re-theming your domains to match your general niche is a good strategy too. You might get a little more credit for relevant backlinks vs backlinks from general sites.

For my PBN I typically create articles relevant to each site, then within the article a paragraph that is relevant to the money site as much as possible.
