So how do you guys separate and protect your IMing identity from your personal one? For personal browsing I use another computer with a proxy, and never use Google to perform searches.

For everything related to my websites I use my IP address.

How do you protect and separate your online usage?

As far as you are not doing anything illegal, there is no point of hiding.

I'm just using Proxy for Internet marketing & Google searches(keyword Position checking at certain countries) and using my IP for personal browsing.

Yeah, that's what they said about lots of laws passed to "protect" us.

Either way you slice it there is no hiding from the system. You have to do what you do and get on with it, there is no need to waste time worrying about it unless we're ready to take action.

Yeah, you can't hide from the system unless you go off the grid. That being said, you CAN keep your privacy from companies' snooping eyes by keeping your IM and real identity separate, by using different means of anonymization.
