I am planning to open four niche T-shirt stores on Etsy, each targeting a specific female audience. I will be using Printful to create and print designs on T-shirts, hoodies, mugs, and other products. My price per product will be $15. After conducting extensive research, I have chosen the following niches:

  • "BohoBelle Tees" - Niche: Boho/Beach-Inspired T-Shirts: This store will focus on selling T-shirts with boho or beach-inspired designs, such as tie-dye, floral prints, or beach graphics. These designs are trendy among young women and will attract those interested in bohemian or beachy fashion.
  • "SportyChic Tees" - Niche: Sporty/Fitness-Inspired T-Shirts: This store will focus on selling T-shirts with sporty or fitness-inspired designs, such as motivational quotes, workout-related graphics, or sport team logos. These designs are popular among women who are into fitness or sports and will appeal to those who want to showcase their active and healthy lifestyle.
  • "TravelTrend Tees" - Niche: Travel-Inspired T-Shirts: This store will focus on selling T-shirts with travel-inspired designs, such as city skylines, landmarks, or maps. These designs are popular among women who love to travel and will attract those who want to showcase their wanderlust.
  • "PetParade Tees" - Niche: Pet-Inspired T-Shirts: This store will focus on selling T-shirts with pet-related designs, such as pet illustrations or pet puns. These designs are popular among women who are pet lovers and will appeal to those who want to showcase their love for their furry friends.
Initially, I plan to create the designs myself, as I have extensive experience in both Photoshop and Canva. However, eventually, I aim to build a team of graphic designers who will help me create designs. I can get graphic designers quite cheaply from India. The whole business will be official and online.

What are your thoughts on my plan? Do you think it's a solid strategy or a bad idea?

Just start. U won't know the results till u try.

I had to close my etsy printful tshirt down, as i didn't get enough sales to justify the amount of stock I had, but like I've come to notice on these platforms, and with these methods, is that the product is key, and needs to stand out. So if you can tap on a zeitgeist of designs, Vs what you think will sell you'll be banking soon I'm sure. I plan to revisit etsy again, maybe not with t-shirts, but with something else. Or maybe I go back to t-shirts one day! lol I never knows these things! :)

I would suggest to go for other items. I think the t-shirt market is saturated and we only see the results of the top players from 2015. But that's only my two cents.

do you plan on sending traffic to the stores? or do you plan just to use Etsy traffic ?

My thoughts is that you shouldn't just publish your plans like this on web for everyone to see.

Other than that, it's very difficult to predict what will and what will not work. It has a lot to do with luck and execution too

This is my $1,000s idea not my $1,000,000 idea
