Prince died earlier today (April 21) at age 57 at his Paisley Park home and studio, his publicist confirmed to the Associated Press. TMZ first reported the news.

Prince was hospitalized last week after his plane for was forced to make an emergency landing in Moline, Ill. Released a few hours later, a rep told TMZ that he had been battling a bad case of the flu.

Damn...there was a rumor going around that he had a full blown case of AIDS about a week ago...
 
So many legends gone recently.

Paul Daniels, Victoria Wood and now Prince.
 
Genuinely sad. I've spent a lot of time in First Avenue, it will be weird next time knowing he's passed.
 
Well... I can play guitar like that, but I sing like a drunk bullfrog.

When Prince turned Jehovah's Witness I lost respect for him.
 
Saw this on the news earlier, couldn't be more afraid of celebrities starting to die young.
